It's Been A While!

Wesley's first boat ride

The guys...and a very pretty Kate

Ammon, Mommy/Aunt Ena, and Wes

My little guy

Well just to get everyone updated....

-Wes started eating cereal and from there he is eating baby food and anything else he can get into his mouth!

-My sister and her two kids came out to visit from Utah. Wes really loved getting to know is cousins Ellie and Ammon. They were so cute together.

-We visited Jason's parents out in Colorado. We had so much fun, it was hard to come home. It was Wesley's first time on an airplane. He did really well especially flying home with a double ear infection. He really loved his cousins and I think they enjoyed playing with him as well.

-Jason's friend from his mission came to visit and we went to the beach for the day. It was Wesley's first trip to the Beach, He loved it. He loves the taste of sand...what a crazy kid!

-Wesley is crawling now. He all of the sudden started crawling and within a day he was pulling up on everything. He is a total monster now. All day I just go behind him and pull stuff out of his mouth or put things back he's pulled down. He is so fast I can't keep up with him.

-We are in the process of looking for a house. Hopefully we will make up our minds soon and post pictures of the new place!

-My first Mother's Day! Jason bought me a beautiful corsage, and a very nice jewlery box.

-My dad turned 50, for his birthday we helped him in the yard. While we were working like dogs, Wes crawled around in a little blue pool. He loved splashing around while we were sweating and working hard.

I think I've remembered everything, but hopefully I won't be waiting so long to post again!!

Wesley's First Cereal

We decided it was time Wes had the taste of real food, well sort of! He is getting so big it was time to try some rice cereal. We have been excited to try solid foods with Wes. Jason has been dying to give him all kinds of food. I think Wes is the only 3 month old that's tried chocolate muffin, cookie dough, and lots of other things Jason has given him behind my back! He is so much fun and we love seeing him grow. We had the best time stuffing his fat little face. He liked it at first but then we weren't feeding him fast enough so he was got frustrated!

What is this stuff?

Thanks dad, you know what I like!

This is Wesley's first taste of cereal.

January Update

This Kid loves bath time!

My little happy boy!

Wes has had a very productive week. I returned to Nursing school last week so Jason and my mom have stepped up to take care of Wes when I'm in class. They have been very helpful and Wes has been well taken care of! While he was with Jason this week he decided to roll over. I will admit I was sad I missed it, but I'm grateful Jason got to see him do it! I would have been really sad if he did it in a daycare. We are very lucky that one of us usually gets to stay with him! Later this week he laughed out loud...I am pretty funny what can I say! He is really starting to show his little personality. I think he's going to be a silly little boy, he loves to scream and talk. I think we'll have to initiate quiet time for Wes and Jason! :)

Merry Christmas

We are all a little too excited
for this early in the morning!

Our Webcam..we can't wait to show Wes off
to his g-ma and g-pa Jones!

Wow your head looks a lot like mine papa!
Santa's little protege!

Christmas Eve at Grandma
and Grandpa's house.

The Deaver Family Christmas Card Pic.

Christmas was very nice this year. It is Jason's first Christmas as a police officer so he couldn't take off. They did allow him to stay at home and take calls, that was really nice! We usually eat breakfast with my parents, so they came to our apartment to have breakfast so Jason could be apart of our Christmas day traditions and still work. I think Wes really enjoyed his first Christmas, he slept through the night. I think that was his Christmas present to us! We received wonderful gifts and we can't thank everyone enough for everything!

It was a very special Christmas for me, I always love spending time with family but this year I had my own little family. Jason had to get up at 5 a.m. anyway and listen to his radio. I got up with him and we opened presents, I am so grateful for our family and that we have the opportunity to be together forever. I can't wait to see Wes grow up, Christmas has such a special spirit when little children are involved!

Even though we had a nice Christmas, we always miss the rest of our family. I wish everyone lived here so we could all be together for Christmas, we'll have to find a way to be in Utah, NC, and Colorado for every holiday!

Our New Little Boy!

He is really looking big!

He looks so cute in his blessing outfit!

Wes and the grandparents

A proud new papa!

Well I'm sure everyone knows by now that we have a new addition to the Jones Family. Wesley Paul Jones was born on October 25, 2008 at 5:39 in the Morning. He weighed in at 9lbs 2oz, measuring 22 1/4 inches tall. He was huge and so cute. We are so grateful to have such a sweet little blessing in our lives. I know that he is very special and we love him very much. He is already starting to show some of his personality. He hates to wear clothes...I guess he's going to be like his cousin Ammon! He loves to take baths, he kicks and splashes the whole time he's in there. We just love him so much and I'm afraid we are already spoiling him, he likes us to hold him when he sleeps..oops! I rarely get time to get on the computer but I'll try to keep up with posting pictures!

I've been TAGGED!

How To Play This Game of Tag: Post these rules on your blog... List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog!

Ok Miriam I am going to reply to your tag! Here we go...

3 Joys:

#1. I agree with Miriam, being with family. I love just sitting around talking and telling funny stories. There is nothing better than that! I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with Kirk and Carrie at the beach this summer, I hope I didn't talk their ears off. Then I love spending Sunday evenings at Mom and Dad's house just sitting around talking. There are also many nights Jason and I just sit around talking each other's ears off..I love it!

#2. This one is more of a future joy I guess. I'm getting really excited to be a mom. I keep dreaming about him and hoping that I can teach him all the things he needs to be a good man one day!

#3. I also enjoy going to church. (sorry Myrt i'm copying you!) For a while there I was really just going to church because I knew I'd feel bad if I didn't go. My testimony was still very strong but I guess my heart just wasn't in it every Sunday. Jason and I have been making a strong effort to read our scriptures and say our prayers every night together, this has really helped me to get excited again! I love the gospel, I know it's true and I know that my life is so good (even with the trials I go through!) because of the gospel!

3 Fears:

#1. I have a terrible fear of disappointing people! I like to make people happy and I feel horrible if I make someone feel bad or hurt their feelings.

# 2. I have a fear of being alone one day. I hate being alone for too long and I just don't want to be alone. It's a horrible feeling!! I get a little taste of it when Jason works nights. That's good enough, I don't want to be alone any longer than needed!

#3. I have just recently developed a fear of being a bad mom. I want our family to be together forever and I hope I can be a good mom and a good example. I want the gospel to be taught in our home and for our home to be a place where our children can feel the spirit and feel at peace in this busy world!

3 Goals:

#1. I want to learn to sew well. My sister Evelyn has really shown me up when it comes to crafts! My mom is so good and I want to be able to carry that on. I would love to be able to make curtains and clothes and neat stuff like that. I've got a lot of learning to do first though!

#2. I want to finish nursing school. This is really starting to become a frustrating goal, it's taking forever but I AM GOING TO FINISH!!! I am going to be a nurse, I just have to keep telling myself that!

# 3. Go on vacation to Hawaii. Jason would really like to go back and so would I! It is so beautiful. I promised Jason that we would go when we both graduate, I guess we better start saving up!!

3 Current obsessions/collections:

#1. I am really getting obsessed with getting our finances in-line and budgeting. I love getting a good deal on something! I hate paying full price for anything and I am always trying to save a buck or two! (This might fall under my faults category!!)

#2. Well of course right now getting the baby's stuff all together and his room set up just right. I'm driving Jason crazy trying to move furniture everywhere and then back to where it was before :)

#3. Just getting organized..I guess you can say i'm in the "nesting stage". I am so tired of everyting being shoved in a closet and hard to find or laying out everywhere. I am working really hard to get everything in place and ready for total chaos in a couple of weeks!

3 Random Surprising Facts about Myself:

#1. I am a total stress case! I can't hide it from Jason all that well but usually I can hide it from others! I used to not worry about ANYTHING, not even the most important stuff. Now things just eat me up inside and I chew the inside of my mouth to pieces when i'm stressed!

#2. I am very stubborn. I know this doesn't come as a surprise to most. I don't like a lot of help. This is something I'm really trying to work on, but I still really like to do things myself. I guess I'm more like a 2 year old than a 23 year old. I just don't like to know that I can't do something!

#3. I absolutely love to be outdoors, especially this time of year! I love the crisp nights, the leaves changing, pumpkins on front porches, Halloween, the State Fair, everything! I love camping this time of year and having bond fires, roasting marshmallows and hotdogs. I also love NC State football, I'd rather be at the games then listen to them on the radio or watch on T.V. but I would love to one day have season tickets. I am so excited that Fall is just around the corner and this year we are going to be sharing it with our little boy!

That was fun, Thanks Myrt for tagging me! I hope ya'll learned a few things about me! :)
I guess i'll tag Ena and Jean. They are the only ones that might check my blog and haven't been tagged!
